individuals, communities or even a country. Connectivity should not be thought
of as referring only to the capability of accessing the internet, but as an ecosystem
that goes well beyond which individuals, devices, services and institutions
interact with each other and is enabled by a digital infrastructure that is
becoming more complex. The power to be surgically attached has forever altered
us and how we connect, work, learn and engage with our world.
Connectivity covers everything from mobile and
broadband networks to newer technologies like 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) to
cloud computing. These technologies engage in real-time interaction, instantaneous access to
information and remote collaboration regardless of geographic location. However, not all sector
